Your Membership

    Pa Law Enforcement Officers Association full membership is offered to any law enforcement officers who is a paid full time Law Enforcement Officer in the state of Pa. and other states as lodges are formed. If interested in forming a lodge contact home office at 610-262-7630

    Your membership entitles you to FREE Accidental Death and   Dismemberment Insurance, Legal Aid, Membership in the Fitness Line Health Club with initiation fees waived and small monthly dues ($10.00). Membership in the Firing Line indoor gun range with 10 shooting lanes and Specialized Firearms Training on the L.E.T.S. shoot, don't shoot, system.              

Insurance  

    FREE accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance with coverage 365 days a year on or off the job.  The Policy pays $100.00 a month for 12 months with coverage on land, sea or air.

Legal Aid 

    PLEOA offers FREE legal consultation with our attorneys for any suspension, reduction in rank, or firing of our members.  If PLEOA  attorneys and board of directors deems your case has merit, you will receive up to $1600.00 in legal aid for your attorney fees.

Sick Benefits 

     You will receive $25.00 a week for 26 weeks after the second week. We must be notified in the third week or no benefits will apply.  Naturally a doctors excuse will apply and a notice from your employer.

Benefits

  Firing Line Indoor Gun Range: Free individual use of the range and scheduled departmental training when coordinated with our staff during the hours of 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.. You also receive FREE L.E.T.S. system training with your range officer or pre- scheduled with our range officer.

  Fitness Line: Membership in the 12,000 sq ft gym without initiation fees and a small $10.00 monthly maintenance fee. Also special fees for your family.  P.L.E.O.A. provides training in both facilities to keep our officers in the best physical and mental state for his/her protection and job performance.

International Police Programs

Career Enhancement Opportunity

On behalf of the United States Department of State, DynCorp Aerospace Operations (UK) Ltd. (DAOL) is seeking active duty, retired, and recently separated sworn police officers to accept a challenging and adventurous assignment within the International Police Programs.

 

      DAOL recruits, trains, equips, and supports hundreds of professional law enforcement officers each year, deploying these officers to peacekeeping missions on behalf of the United States Department of State and the United Nations. Officers participating in these missions are able to serve in a variety of posts including law enforcement training, program development (SWAT teams, K9, Crime Prevention, etc.), law enforcement command and supervision, investigations (Human Rights, Exhumations, Ethnic Cleansing, Police Abuse, etc.), and various administrative and support operations providing unlimited potential for personal and professional development. 

United States Citizenship
Applicant must have a combined total of 8 years work experience with at least 5 years being in the position of sworn civilian law enforcement
Actively serving sworn law enforcement officer, or recently separated sworn law enforcement official (within 5 years [3 years preferred])
Minimum age of 26, no maximum age
Ability to communicate in spoken and written English
Unblemished background record
Excellent health, capable of participating in rigorous physical activity and capable of passing a basic physical agility qualification course
Must possess or be able to possess a valid U.S. Passport prior to deployment

      Annual compensation range is $75,000.00 to $98,000.00, depending upon the mission. Up to $80,000.00 of this foreign earned income may be tax exempt. Uniforms, protective equipment, and life and disability insurance are provided.

     Officers wishing to serve on leave of absence from their agency are also encouraged to apply. A formal letter of request for the granting of a leave of absence to serve in an International Law Enforcement Mission can be forwarded to your agency upon request. Interested officers may make application for immediate and future positions for both the UN missions and OSCE/REACT missions.

Approximate Compensation Total: $75,000 to $98,000
