The Pa Law Enforcement Officers Association was formed in 1984 by police
officers that thought a police organization should do more than just provide
legal services for their members.
Offices were rented and run by volunteers for the first five years, until
1989 when the Board of Directors voted to install a centralized office in the
Lehigh Valley and include a training facility known as the Firing Line.
The Firing Line was opened in 1990 and has been a successful run facility ever
since.
In 1996 a 12,000 square foot health club known as the Fitness Line was
started and opened in 1997. The building was contracted out and the inside
finished by employees of PLEOA. Today many law enforcement officers use both
facilities every day, some departments send their whole department to us for
qualifications in firearms. We are very proud of this.
The Board of directors are as follows.
